CEO, PotisEdge (now LONGi Energy Storage)
Minjie Shi is the Founder, General Manager, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of PotisEdge (Now LONGi Energy Storage). With more than 30 years of international experience in battery management systems (BMS), hydrogen fuel cells and energy storage technologies, he has built his career at the intersection of technology innovation and industrial commercialization. Prior to founding PotisEdge, Mr. Shi held engineering and executive leadership positions in Canada, including Plug Power and JTT Electronics, where he led the development of advanced battery and fuel cell technologies. Since establishing PotisEdge in 2015, he has transformed the company from a specialist BMS developer into a global provider of integrated energy storage systems, delivering more than 13 GWh of products worldwide while expanding manufacturing capacity to 31 GWh. An early pioneer in battery management, Mr. Shi has led the commercialization of advanced BMS solutions for hydrogen fuel cell and lithium battery systems. Under his leadership, the company has been consistently recognized among the industry's leading energy storage providers, including Infolink’s Top 3 DC-side ESS provider in 2025 and eighth consecutive inclusion in the BloombergNEF Tier 1 Energy Storage Manufacturer ranking.  Following PotisEdge's integration with LONGi, Mr. Shi has played a key role in advancing the company's next-generation LONGi ONE strategy. He believes the future of energy storage lies not only in safer batteries, but in deeply integrated power systems that combine solar generation, storage and intelligent energy management into a single platform.
